Echoes

Projection Mapping

2026.02

LA

Echoes is a site-specific projection mapping project installed on the exterior wall of the Hancock Building at the University of Southern California.
A ghost-like figure slowly drifts across the façade—not as a literal spirit, but as a symbolic presence of memory, wealth, and transformation. Fragments of text emerge around the figure, revealing moments from the history of G. Allan Hancock and the building itself.
By activating the building after hours, the project brings hidden narratives into public space. It invites passersby to pause, reflect, and engage with the history of the museum—offering access to its stories even without entering the building. The architecture becomes a temporary surface where memory reappears.
